Rare pets sit at the critical transition point in Ride A Pet’s progression curve. With hatch odds between 1 in 100 and 1 in 3K, these pets are common enough to farm intentionally but powerful enough to carry you through the mid-game.

The Rare tier includes three pets, each serving a distinct purpose:

• Reliable spawn — Capybara comes from standard Map Eggs, not rare variants

Panda: The Mid-Tier Earner

The Panda (1 in 1K) is a statistical step up from Capybara but not a revolutionary improvement. Its 900 speed and 70 $/s income make it a solid ranch filler while you grind toward Epic-tier pets.

Verdict: Keep one on your ranch, but don’t chase duplicates. The jump from Panda to Spider (Epic, 2,000 speed) is more impactful than Panda to Capybara.

Kangaroo: The Most Underrated Pet in Ride A Pet

The Kangaroo is arguably the best value pet in the entire Rare tier — and one of the most overlooked pets in the game.

• Giraffe (Mythic): 83 jump

Only Spider (129), Horse (108 is lower), Wolf (102), Shark (114), and higher-tier pets exceed Kangaroo’s jump.

Bottom Line: If you’re stuck in the Rare-to-Epic transition, the Kangaroo is your best mount for terrain traversal. Its 125 jump smooths out cliff ledges and riverbanks that slow down technically “faster” pets.

Are Rare pets required for Rebirths?

No. Rebirth 1 requires the Horse (Legendary). However, Rare pets generate the income that helps you reach the $1M cash requirement.
